The large windows of the former classroom let plenty of light into the spacious living room. Meals are shared, laughter is heard, and games are played at the big dining table. The built-in cupboard holds many toys and books waiting to be discovered.

This lovingly furnished 6-room apartment, situated on the first floor of our 200-year-old wooden house, offers a restful and homely atmosphere in the picturesque Toggenburg region. With original timber walls and strip-wood floors, the space radiates charm and comfort. It’s fully equipped for both short visits and longer stays – ideal for family holidays, creative retreats, or working sabbaticals.
Outside, a terraced garden dotted with fruit trees invites slow afternoons in the sun. The house stands in the historic center of Ebnat-Kappel, just steps from the town’s storied main street.

The space
This spacious apartment is filled with natural light and character. The open-plan living room with its kitchen nook and dining table creates a welcoming hub for slow mornings and long conversations. A cozy reading chair looks out to the mountains.
Next door, a projector and screen turn the second lounge into a private cinema – perfect for quiet movie nights on the plush sofa.
There are two peaceful bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed dressed in soft Lavie cotton linens. High-quality down duvets offer restful sleep all year round. A baby crib is available on request.
If needed, we offer an additional guest mattress with bedding and towels for CHF 20 per night.
For those needing time to think or work, a private study with a desk and chaise longue offers quiet focus. We’ll gladly provide a 32" monitor if you’d like.
Two bathrooms serve the apartment – the main one with a modern shower, a double sink, and a full bathtub. A washer and dryer are available in the apartment for your convenience.
Outdoors & surroundings
In summer, our wild garden draws you outside. The nearby Thur river is perfect for a swim or picnic. The region is a haven for hikers and cyclists, offering trails through rolling, diverse landscapes.
In winter, snow lovers will find ski resorts close by. A small family lift, snowshoe trails, and winter walks await just beyond the door.

You’ll check yourself in using our secure key box. From then on, the apartment is yours – anytime, day or night. Parking is available on-site near the entrance. Additional public parking is nearby. If you’re traveling with bikes, skis, or hiking gear, we’re happy to help you store them safely.
A note from the host
We want you to feel at ease here. Occasionally, you may hear us upstairs – the sound of footsteps on creaky old wooden floors is part of the charm (or a quirk, depending on how you see it). We believe in transparency so you can choose the place that suits you best.
